I know what you’re thinking – am I really giving a tip on squeezing lemons?  Yes, because unless you have the biceps of Arnold circa 1975, a citrus squeezer will change your life.  Ok, so maybe it won’t change your life, but it is one of the handiest and most useful kitchen gadgets out there.  With the power to completely drain your citrus, this easy to use timesaver frees your hands from twisting and wringing that last bit of liquid out.  And the best part, you get all of the juice and none of the seeds.  The bowl of the squeezer has small holes that lets the juice through, but traps the seeds to discard later.  Just place half a lemon, lime or small orange into the squeezer and well, squeeze.

Whether you’re making a salad, marinade, vinaigrette, pie, drink, you name it…if you need fresh citrus, then this is the tool for you.   It cleans in an instant and stores easily.  Plus, the bright, cheery yellow color will always be easy to find amongst other kitchen tools.

* OXO makes a universal squeezer.  Specialty stores, such as Sur La Table, sell models specific to the fruit; yellow for lemons, orange for oranges and green for limes.  I wouldn’t waste your money on all three, I have the lemon one and find it works well for all.
